Don't know what to give for a birthday, a holiday, or a special event? Donating a hardcover book to the library is a gift that will keep on giving, not only to the honoree but to many for years to come.

Follow these simple steps:

• Purchase a new book from the list below and drop it off at the Circulation Desk, attn: Judy Savage, Children's Librarian.
  

• OR give the Friends a check and we will purchase a book (or several) for you. Children's books cost around $16-$17, adult books $25 to $30.

• Include a note with the name of the honoree, and his/her address if you would like the Friends to send him/her a notification that a book has been donated in their honor.

           A bookplate in the name of the honoree will be affixed in the book.

          Donors will receive an acknowledgement of their gift for tax purposes.

Frequently Asked Questions:

-   Can I give a book that's not on the list?

Only the books requested by the librarians can be added to the library collections. Our wonderful librarians have selected books that will best complement what is already owned by the library. The books must be hardcover copies as paperbacks don't hold up to many readings.

-    I own a copy of one of the books on the list. Can I donate it?

Yes if the book is AS NEW. Library books are handled by many hands and need to be in perfect condition when they first arrive on the library shelves.
